Spiral wound gaskets are used at high temperatures and pressures when plastic gaskets (asbestos-free or graphite) would not be suitable.
These gaskets are made of metallic strips with a V-shape in the middle and linked together by inorganic filler, and can be either of standard dimensions or tailored to the customer’s design.
